smoked deviled eggs

Davids post about his recycled fridge made me think of this.

I don't know if any of you have tried this.
But we sometimes smoke our hardboiled shelled eggs. Then make them into deviled eggs. Absolutley amazing. Try it sometime.

We smoke them in our smoker just like meat. They really are yummy!

That sounds interesting. So, you hard boil the eggs, peel them and place them in your smoker, correct?

I have a little chief smoker. I think it is considered a cold smoker. Will that work? How long do you smoke them? I need details. I want to try it...soon.

My hubby says he smoked one for one tray full of hickory.
Then just make them like normal deviled eggs.
They turn a little brown thats a good thing.
