Josh, my first thought was just do it one time, raise a lone chicken in a cage. I'd like to know exactly what the size of a standardcage and go from there. I would probably get into alot of issues with my many multiple personalities concerning scientific accuracy and the hippie dude worrying about messing up my chicken karma. I believe just letting chickens be chickens rates pretty high round here. Chickenplucker

Sylvia Allen must be the only one those against Prop 2 have for representation. She regurgitates the same thing article after article.
Plucker, it's not a lone chicken in a cage they're talking about. If you put one into the cage it still won't be the same thing. Also, if you did it you'd quickly find me at your doorstep with one of Bill's big boots on my foot getting ready to mess up your karma's behind. Blaming it on the multiples wouldn't help. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of you as a hippy dude. If memory serves, you passed through that era with a couple more years on you than I did, although I do remember the plaid pants.

OK guys, I'm going to step in and you can all say what you want.
But I would vote against it too. What they are proposing is too generalized and open ended. That in itself could lead to worse conditions. It doesn't mean the conditions themselves can't be rectified. Just remember, once a law is passed - hell freezes over before anyone can correct it. Or add codicils ad naseum to put in a few more commas and end up losing the original reason for having it.
I'm not condonning nor condemming battery. In general - I'm against it. People who have back yards are lucky that they possibly have a place for their own eggs and chickens. But who will supply the millions in the cities? and at what cost?
I would personally have to probably do an in depth research to make up my mind. I just don't trust either side to be telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
