Sounds a little scary.

I know enough to know I don't know what "native birds" are, though I believe I know what cross breds and hybrids are. If our supply of (commercial) eggs starts to drop, then the price of OUR eggs go up. Same would be true of backyard poultry for the freezer. In the short term both those would be MS good things. But over the long haul it spooky, in the face of avian flue, to think of chickens becoming extinct.

Is this guy making noise to justify the expenditures of a large grant or is it for real?
