determining age of hen

Nobody seems to be able to tell how old my hen is. I bought her because I thought she was pretty, and the feed store guy said "I can't guarantee she will lay...she might be too old". Got a little egg from her yesterday! Whaddya all say? Any opinions? Thoughts? No matter what, it sure was exciting! :D

She looks to have some RIR in her ...... And by your picture (nice pic by the way), she looks to be 3 years, 4 months and 5 days old !
