Here is a pic of my chicks taken about a week ago with my puppy Lucy and son Corbin watching them from the other side of the new chicken run.

Is this picture too big for some of you? It loads up fine for me but I have a sattelite connection.

Looks good! How many chickens total do you have? Lucy looks like a chicken lover. :)

Hey,
I love this picture. It looks like something from Precious Moments or something.

I have 32 chicks and they are really growing fast and changing so much. This new hobby is so much fun. Corbin likes to go out there and hug the chickens, it's hysterical; I have got to get a video of that. Lucy is very interested in the chickens. A couple of times a few chicks have escaped and she has caught but not killed them. Maybe just cause we caught her in time, I'm not sure. It's hard to tell if she wants to eat them or play with them. She's only 6 months old.
Jesse, I live about 20 miles from Precious Moments. It's a really neat place to visit if you're into that kind of thing.

Ah, Lucy's still a puppy! She's probably confused and doesn't quite know what a chick is. Fluffy, makes noises, moves...what is it?! Haha.

You're right, this hobby IS fun. Kids especially like it. I think its a wonderful way to teach them about life and the responsibility of raising something. Its much more interesting to raise chickens than, say, a garden. Radishes and carrots aren't all *that* intriguing.

You mean you live 20 miles from the company? or do you mean 20 miles from a city named Precious Moments?;)

Sail. Great picture. Are these the chicks you showed us with the shreaded paper? You just know what the dog is thinking .... :D

One suggestion I would make for posting pictures ......... Try to re-size them to "no larger than 800 pixels wide" so the picture doesn't extend the viewing screen. This way you won't have to use the bottom scroll bar to see the rest of the picture and read the right side of the posts.

Jesse,
I live near Carthage, MO which is where the Precious Moments Chapel and grounds are. I don't really go there much but have been a couple of times and it's pretty interesting. The artist Sam Butcher is a very talented guy and does many different kinds of art. It's a pretty big tourist thing for these parts.

Ron,
Yes these are the same chix. That picture is about 10 days old, I think.
They love going outside, and they're crazy little guys (and girls) They rush
the door of the coop every time I go out there, and they climb all over the feeders and me when I'm trying to get them some feed.8O

Thanks for the picture posting info. I'll try to remember that next time.
