Default How long do I wait to take unhatched eggs?

My little Jap was sitting on 8 eggs. Like clockwork on day 21 they started to hatch. So far we have 4 new peeps. How long do let her sit on the other eggs before I take them if they don't hatch???

Give them til atleast day 22-23. She will eventually leave them and the nest without returning. That should only take a couple days when she feels like none of them will hatch.

Thank You. I wasn't sure how long to wait. I took eggs from a hen once and she freaked out, found a golf ball and sat on it.

Just let her decide when to leave them. She wont stay on them long.

In a day or 2, she will get off any that do not hatch, to care for the babies. Congrats on the babies!
